Ubiquiti UniFi AC Series Access Points
The UniFi AC Series consists of the three wireless access points shown in the table below, as well as the in-wall and mesh models from the Speciality AP Series. When in doubt, WISP recommends you go PRO: The benefits outweigh the cost difference between UAP-AC-LR and UAP-AC-PRO.

Ubiquiti UniFi HD Series Access Points
UniFi HD Series devices were designed with high-density throughput in mind. UAP-HD, for example, delivers up to 125% greater performance than a typical Wave 1 AP through MU-MIMO technology and the use of 4x4 spatial streams. Consider the UniFi HD AP Series for applications requiring high density networking and constant data security monitoring (e.g. banks, hospitals, etc.)
As shown in the table below, three models follow the classic UniFi AP form factor, while newer models feature a more discreet, compact design. UAP-FlexHD offers flexible mounting options for wall, pole and ceiling deployment, while UAP-BeaconHD offers real 300+ Mbps performance over a wireless mesh hop.

Ubiquiti UniFi Specialty Access Points
The UniFi devices shown in the table below are access points designed to perform very specific functions not usually found in wireless networking hardware. UAP-AC-EDU, for example, has an integrated public address system for campus applications and can be configured as a SIP endpoint for phone systems.
UniFi In-Wall models are the perfect size to replace an Ethernet wall jack, with a sleek enclosure to blend in seamlessly and provide a more discreet solution in environments like hotels, hospitals and schools. Multiple ports also allow In-Wall devices to serve as Gigabit switches with PoE passthrough.
UniFi Mesh devices allow for the expansion of outdoor wireless installations with little infrastructure. (Article about UniFi Mesh Wireless coming soon!)
