WIth some many devices that require passive (no power over data cables) POE, this product finally makes it happen with 1Gbit LAN speed. Standard POE switches have 802.3af POE outputs (48V and power goes out via data cables) which makes them unusable for most of Mikrotik devices and many of Ubiquiti devices since they need passive (24V POE).
