VoLTE and the Future of Voice Call Technology

We’re all accustomed to browsing the web with the speed and power of 4G (LTE) internet by now, but the lack of significant improvement to voice call connection and quality is frustrating and has all but left the technology in the dust, especially considering how much more convenient texting and email have become.

Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology is here to close that gap. Long gone are the days of Sorry, what did you say? and the dreaded Could you repeat that? Thanks to VoLTE, the headaches of phone calls are gone and have been replaced with the luxuries of crystal-clear quality and speedy connection times.

When you pop your SIM card into its slot in a VoLTE router, the devices you connect via Ethernet or telephone cables can browse the web, stream media and most importantly make high definition, reliable voice calls over an LTE network.

The typical VoLTE router isn't too different than the ones you're already familiar with.

VoLTE routers support automatic fall-back to 2G or 3G, but your primary LTE connection will be on average three times better than 3G and six times better than 2G service.
