MikroTik GPEN Gigabit Passive Ethernet Network Series Devices


MikroTik’s GPEN concept is designed to replace GPON installations with lower cost and easier-to-deploy Ethernet alternatives. GPEN doesn’t require expensive GPON OLT equipment in your server rooms, just a regular switch port. This is the cheapest way for an ISP to deliver high-speed internet to individual apartments.

GPeR enables the extension of an Ethernet cable by an additional hop (up to 210m to another GPeR, up to 150m to regular network devices) up to 1,500m – handy for highrise and multi-apartment buildings with many floors and sections where very long Ethernet cables don’t work. Optional IP68 rated sturdy outdoor enclosure available.

GPEN11 is a power injector that can power uplink devices via PoE. This compact device can be securely and discreetly mounted inside customer premises next to the wireless router. GPEN11 itself will then power the ISP router, whether an outdoor, roof-mounted unit or network switch elsewhere in the building.
